Crop mastery in Farmville is a relatively fresh creation by Zynga. You begin working on mastery as soon as you reach level 10 and will keep on adding points toward it all throughout your Farmville gaming career. For every successful square of land that you harvest, you make one point of mastery. For instance, a 16×16 field of ripe aloe vera will give you 256 mastery points. You can check on your points on a particular crop by going to the Market and reading the entry underneath every picture of produce. To help you figure out where you are in mastering the crop, there is a progress bar and 3 stars. To master a certain crop, complete the three stars!
How to Master a Crop
Grow a crop. Then harvest it. Grow it again. Harvest it yet again. Repeat these steps a lot of times. Each crop has a different number of points needed to master it.
The Point of Mastery
Mastery is more about bragging rights and a little bit about getting farmville coins. When you get all three levels of mastery, you obtain a sign that you can show on your property. This will allow your visitors know that you have mastered a specific crop. Furthermore, mastery also makes the game fascinating as you begin to reach advanced levels where you don’t unlock additional crops or items.
You unlock the capacity to harvest the finest crops when you get mastery of a crop. Premium crops happen at random throughout your harvest and give you additional xp. Keep in mind that it will only work for the crop that you currently have mastery in. You may also need to use the sign that you get with your achievement—put it up by the field and be proud! Mastering a small number of crops is a great idea to help you to level up faster by getting additional xp points. You will likely would like to select something with a somewhat quick harvest time so that you can go through as many harvests as possible.
