The economy of Farmville comes to a grinding halt without the seed crops. Crops are indeed the main focus of Farmville. You, the farmer, must use the available resources to come up with the most promising harvest.

The basic classifications of crops are Animals, Trees, and Seed Crops. Seed crops require additional steps that other crops do not. You will need the following: 1) one or more squares of soil 2) seeds and 3) time. You can select either the fallow soil where a crop just been harvested or a blank piece of grass to turn into field to prepare your farm. Click once and you will plow it. Once you are finished plowing, go to the Market and buy any type of seed you like.

Choosing the Best Crop

There are lots of charts in the internet that will tell you what particular crops will offer you the greatest amount of for the smallest amount of time spent. Here is the secret: berries. Loads of berries! If you're going to be remaining online for extended periods of time and logging on frequently, they are ideal. Your blueberries will be rotten if you go away for 8 hours. Plan your crop so that you will always be able to harvest it. Try to avoid rotten harvests as they steal your hard-earned coins and time.

As you level up and unlock additional crops, keep adding rows of info to your table. This reference guide will make it simpler for you to plan your crops.

Vehicles:

Zynga made vehicles which makes the plantation farmer's work simpler. These new additions assist farmer with the tedious tasks of plowing, planting crops and harvesting. Once you expand many times and you're bored and exhausted of clicking every little square of ground to plow, buy a tractor. The tractor plows 2x2 squares of field at once, allowing you to plow 4 times more faster. Keep an eye on the fuel gauge in the lower left corner of your screen as it's possible to run out of fuel. Thankfully, it completely refills every 6.5 hours. The vehicles on your farm all share the same fuel tank. The other vehicles which will make your work easier include a seeder and harvester. They operate on the same economy, harvesting or seeding a 2x2 square of ground.
